Influence Michigan's Future Construction Workforce
With a unique blend of information booths, hands-on activities and heavy equipment operation, Michigan Construction Career Days (CCD) invites young people to see, experience and learn more about the many exciting careers that are available in the field of construction. By purchasing a booth, bringing in equipment, or sponsoring a portion of the event, you will help the builders of our future obtain a clearer view of the road ahead.
Elements of the Event
Indoor Activities - A combination of information and activity booths provides a great way to meet face-to-face with the builders of Michigan's future. The idea is to engage the students in actual construction-related activities while providing them information on how to get started in a construction career.
Outdoor Displays - Concrete bridge pieces, roof trusses, and all kinds of heavy equipment are too big for an indoor activity space. We have about eight acres of open field that we can use for outdoor displays.
Heavy Equipment - Heavy equipment stations provide students opportunities to operate real, fully-functional machines. Large and small excavators, backhoes, loaders, dozers and various other machines will be available for operation and static display.
